ok i searched the forum and didnt find this anywhere so.. I was viewing the tutorial on Installing PHP/MySQL/Apache with WAMP Server for Dreamweaver (http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/vtm/wamp-dw.php) and everything was goin good until the part about changing the password in the config.inc file to say root. The file that neonfluxx changed that option in is not the same file i had. his had more text and mine was only 67 bytes with a lot less text. The addition of password root was supposed to make the server work but it has not... here is what my file looked like. and ideas? thanks

/* Servers configuration */
$i = 0;
/* Server: localhost [1] */
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['verbose'] = 'localhost';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['host'] = 'localhost';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['port'] = '';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['socket'] = '';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['connect_type'] = 'tcp';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['extension'] = 'mysqli';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'config';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['user'] = 'root';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = 'root';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['AllowNoPassword'] = true;
/* End of servers configuration */
$cfg['DefaultLang'] = 'en-utf-8';
$cfg['ServerDefault'] = 1;
$cfg['UploadDir'] = '';
$cfg['SaveDir'] = '';

Are you looking at this in PHP Myadmin ot in Config.inc?

it is actually in then wamp/apps/phpmyadmin3.2.0.1 in the file folder it is saved as config.inc. i figured it out....when the files downloaded somehow they got all mixed up or somethin. i found 3 different config.inc files. the one i needed was in a totally different folder than the one that was indicated on the video. it took a few hours but after a lil tweakin WAMP server is up and running... I do have ANOTHER QUESTION though if all the talented coders out there would be so kind.... this form only send me the name and feedback when its sent to my e mail... how do i get the rest to send like the age and location and email and such??? also, my page says "submit query" when i access it (www.deafboyzaudio.com/feedback.htm (http://www.deafboyzaudio.com/feedback.htm)), and its supposed to say "submit" my styles dont say the other anywhere...thanks for any help.
