Dreamweaver noob here.

I am working on an exisitng website and I am trying to change the menu bar. Right now, if I want to change something I have to do it to every page manually. This is tedious! I know there is a way to link all the pages so that if I make a change to one, it will make a change to all.

Can you please tell me how to do this? Thank you.

give us a link to the site because you might find that the menu bar is set up individualy for a reason!.

better option than templates, IMO, is to use php or html includes for items that appear on many pages

Includes do make updating things like menus and copyright info a lot easier. You can also use includes inside of templates.

Generally there's not much point in including a background in an include since, if it's set in an external CSS file, it can be changed there without editing individual pages.

the site is www.data911.com (http://www.data911.com)

I want to explore restructuring the menu bar. I also want to learn to change the address information that appears on the left of every page.

Thank you for your response wayne78, and everyone else. Your help is appreciated, I hope I can work this out!

Sorry to bump, but I think this is probably a fairly easy question to answer. I've tried searching and couldn't find a personalized answer.

thanks all
