Hey,

I have downloaded a css template and opened it up with Dreamweaver MX. Then all the contents is a mess. Not in its proper positions.

This is how it should be in Design View:

And this is how i see it in Design View:

Must be the CSS because the layout properties must be in the external css file. Still i thought DW would be able to keep all the things in proper positions.

Thanks in Advance.

I also posted this in Dreamweaver General Section.

Check the link to the css file in your main page. It will look somethin like this:

<link href="path-to/your.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

If the css file is supposed to be in a folder (such as "ath-to" in this case), create that folder and put the css file in it.

Alright the css file is in the same dir as the index.html. Also the link to the css file in the html file indicates to no folders so i am assuming it will look for the css file in the same dir as the index.html file.

Cheers for the quick reply.

Well, if you could post the files somewhere we could take a look. It's darn ner impossible to just make a guess.

It looks like DW MX's rendering engine is just too old for a more accurate render. DW 8 looks pretty good, but not perfect.
