www.pivotlab.com
with a horizontal border that covers 100% of browser window and the content horizontally centered. I've managed to do it by trial & error with css but I'd like to know how others would do it. I"m not sure I'm doing it the best way. I'm new here by the way - hello everyone.
thanks -bibi.

i would first of all go into a graphics editor eg Ps n create a new document > width: 1px and height: 105px. fill in the colors respectively. save image as GIF. In Dw create new template. page properties > appearance css > Background image > drop down chose repeat-x. centering will depend if all content is in a wrapper div or main holder.

How can I insert both images on top and bottom of the page?

The bottom "border" is actually a div (#footerBlock) with absolute positioning:

#footerBlock {
position: absolute;
bottom: 0;
height: 11px;
width: 100%;
margin: 0;
padding: 4px 0 3px 0;
background-color: #00747a;
}

I remembered D had answer this before. D, can you please tell me where this code needs to be inserted in order to extend a div? I need to extend the div before the "footer". Thanks

Here's the code for the div where I need to extend.

.middlebanner_div {
height: 451px;
width: 971px;
margin-top: 5px;
margin-right: auto;
margin-left: auto;

}
