Does anyone know if DW have a scrolling text box? Not the one for viewer to leave messages but the one to set up text in and have viewer scroll up or down. Thanks

Use a div with a specified height and set the CSS overflow property to scroll or auto.

Thank you DW. However, I am still learning this program. I am sure I'll get it but, I don't know about div's yet. Can you or someone give an example please?

HTML:

<div id="scrolling_box">Your Content Here</div>

CSS:

#scrolling_box {
height: 300px;
overflow: scroll;
}

You can add to and change the styles to suit your needs. You have to get your head around using divs if you hope to create a website!

Thanks, I tried that code but, I don't see how to turn into a scrolling box. It looks as if I just input text in a table.

For the overflow property to have an effect, you need to have enough content to more than fill the div.

And if you set the overflow property to auto, the scrollbars will only appear if needed.

Itried that and still doesn't work the way I need it. I don't see "overflow properties"

You have to create a CSS style like Corrosive said. In Dreamweaver, overflow is listed under the positioning tab in the CSS Style Definition dialog.
