Hello everyone, just a quick one to say thanks to everyone who's helped me with replies to my questions over the past couple of weeks, i'm starting to get the hang of the basics of how dreamweaver works now

one of the main issues i had understanding was div tags and css, but once i got my head round it, it started to fit into place, so now i can edit something and predict what is going to happen

there's still a hell of a lot i don't know about the basics which i'm trying to brush up on, for example the differences between relative and static positioning, visability z index etc. haven't got a clue what any of these are used for, but i suppose the best way to learn is to get in and get my hands dirty, start playing round with them and see what happens

Yup, anyway thanks everyone, it's a great forum this is.

hopefuly one day i'll be able to help out a few newbies myself.

Great that you find this forum useful :)

Another trick that you can have in your sleeve is knowing where to look for the documentation, the protocol, for those HTML and CSS things you're uncertain about. w3c.org has all of these.
