Got an error whilst setting up DW CS4 for trying to learn php. Get the following message "The site URL prefix [/website] for the testing server does not match the site URL [] specified in the HTTP address for the site. This may cause pages using relative links to display incorrectly at runtime. Proceed anyway?"

I am trying to follow the video on setting this up using WAMP (although this uses CS3 and there are some differences on the php screens). There does seem to be some differences in the paths I have and those shown in the video. My set up is:-
Local Root Folder C:\DocumentsandSettings\Brian\Desktop\website and the HTTP address is http//localhost/website
Remote Folder C:\wamp\www\webroot\website
Testing Folder C:\wamp\www\webroot\website and the URL is http:localhost/website/

I also get an error when trying to set up the db in DW:-
HTTP error code 404 (ugh)
1. There is no testing server on the server machine
2. The testing server specified does not map to http://localhost/website/_mmserverScripts.MMHTTPDB.php URL verify that the URL maps to the root of the site.

Guidance would be appreciated.

Brian

i thought the web root win wamp was www. is the webroot needed?
if not then the site would be Testing Folder C:\wamp\www\website.
I cant check though as i have wamp on my lapto,p and it just went up in pretty blue smoke :(

Thanks, I will give that a try. Don't you hate the colour blue?

Tried it but it did not work. The site set up accepted the information but when I went to the database section of DW and tried to open a mySql connection and 'searched' for the database I got an unidentified error has occured followed by:=
I also get an error when trying to set up the db in DW:-
HTTP error code 404 (ugh)
1. There is no testing server on the server machine
2. The testing server specified does not map to http://localhost/website/_mmserverScripts.MMHTTPDB.php URL verify that the URL maps to the root of the site.

Sinking fast in the mire of ignorance.
