Hi,
Has anyone developed or know where I can find some information on developing an online test. Preferably in PHP? I want to give my customers the opportunity to try an online test before booking themselves in for the real thing.
There will be a database of about 1000 questions with multiple choice answers.
Is an SQL database the way? I have heard of Trandumper as a text alternative but have no idea which will be best.
I have found a number of scripts available for download but haven
't a clue which would best suit my needs. Hence my question here.
Thanks in anticipation.
Regards
Clive

Thanks guys, I was leaning that way.
Not sure my PHP or SQL skills are good enough yet. Does anyone know of any scripts around I could use as a basis??

Try: hotscripts (http://www.hotscripts.com/category/php/scripts-programs/tests-quizzes/)

Thanks I found this one on hotscripts
http://epplersoft.com/webtester
which seems to tick all the boxes. It's comercial so before I cough up does anyone know how I can tell if my web hosting co. supports the Ability to run ionCube (http://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php) encoded files?
I can find any mention of it in phpinfo.

Why don't you create a form that is is simply called "test"? I don't know how long the test will be, but you could do that.

Good luck! :-D

Found this tutorial that might help. It just uses POST methods but can easily be extended to MySQL when you get better at it.
