Hi, I'm a noob at Dreamweaver and I need a bit of help with a few things.

^this is a layout I designed in Photoshop
http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/7766/sdd2.jpg
^this is what it looks like when I tried to code it in dreamweaver.

How do I get the two side images to always stay on the sides rather than the centre (I've tried excluding them from the centre-ing code but it doesn't work)?
How do I align images?
How can I make it so there's no space between the cards and the row below it (the cell spacing, padding etc. is already on 0)?
If I fill a cell with colour, is there a way to adjust the opacity of that colour so it partially shows what's beneath it?Thanks in advance! :D

by your description ( cell) you are using tables i think , this would be easier using divs
images could be places absolutely inside a parent div for example
no space between the cards and the row below it
easire with divs
adjust the opacity of that colour would suggest using a background image that you repeat you can adjust the opacity of that

Thanks for the response! :) Yeah, I'm using tables. I've got two layers; the first is a table with the background images, and the second layer is a table for the banner, the cards and the content area. Can you tell me how to do what I've done with divs instead of tables or perhaps point me to a tutorial?

would suggest using a background image that you repeat you can adjust the opacity of that

Thanks, this seems to have worked :)
