View Full Version : how do you do this background?

hey everyone. i was just wondering how you would apply such a background as found in the site-- www.shabzcohelp.com

the background is the diagonal stripes. there was no image in google like that, so i was just curious. someone plz help.

It's done with a 5x5 pixel image that is tiled. I've uploaded a blowup of the image used.

I went to the web page, looked at the code to find the css file location, looked at that to find the location of the background image and then viewed, copied and enlarged the image.

The open nature of the web makes it easy to learn from the example of others with a little bit of effort.

You know I have been using computers for 25 years and on-line ever since the days of 1200 baud modems, and until a week ago I had no idea you could do that. Now I find I spend more time looking at HTML and CSS then actually viewing the pages, how funny

I do this as well. It drives my Mrs nuts. She says 'can we just have a look at this webiste' and I'm in the source code before she's had time to view the page!

you could also right click on the background and select 'view background image' then copy/save the image from there when it opens in the browser window
