Use CSS to change the bullet:
ul {list-style-type: none;}

Remember that HTML is just structure, while CSS is the presentation layer.

if you're trying to make a list into a menu, just rebuild it as a Dreamweaver Spry menubar. DW will take care of the CSS for you. To customize the colors, etc. of the menubar see:

customize horizontal Spry menu (http://www.studiojmc.com/design-blog/spry-menu-bars.html)

customize vertical Spry menu (http://www.studiojmc.com/design-blog/more-spry-menu-bars.html)

Yes just do what dom says, Don't build with Spry this is not the same as just a CSS menu as it uses Javascript so unless you need this type of menu learn how to code the CSS yourself, don't just use Spry menus to write the CSS.

Bad practice.

DWcourse I'd take one.
