I know this is old-hat to everybody, but I am old-hat also and can't find an answer that I can use. It seems that DW does not have the options to directly answer my question.

I have been given the responsibility for a web site which I think was constructed with DW CS3, and slowly making some changes in it, via FTPing to the server (?), modifying the contact.html file, etc.

I want to change the contact so the responses are sent to my email address.

This seems to be the relevant code:

<form id="form_2" name="Comments_1" onsubmit="return validate_form_2(this)" action="http://www.serifwebresources.com/form.php?uid=1573d6fc2cb0a3946c8cadaf4e75e7a876925 796" method="post" target="_self" enctype="multipart/form-data" accept-charset="UTF-8" style="margin:0px;">

Thank you in advance.

The code which catches the form values is in a page called form.php

post that code please

Most likely you'll need to edit the script that actually sends the email. In this case: http://www.serifwebresources.com/form.php

Thanks for the fast replies!!

1. The only "form.php" reference is in the code I posted
2. I don't have access to the "...resources...." script.

Is there any code I can substitute for what's there to accomplish what I want?

Thanks again.

if you have access to the following space with the domain...

http://www.serifwebresources.com/

then there is a php script called form.php

this is where the form submision data is processed

do you have access to this file ... form.php

Also, check with your current host and see it they offer a form processing script. If they do, they probably offer instructions on how to use it.

I really appreciate the help!!

I feel a little (to say the least) stupid about this, but I am not sure exactly who the host is -- and can't seem to locate the name. I just have a userid and password when I connect via firefox FTP.

I am going to try and see what I can find out from Serif and will report back.

Thanks (again and again).
