Hi,
I'm new to Dreaweaver & MySQL.
I'm using the Tutorial that ends on this page:
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/setting_up_php_07.html
which is the 'Connect to the Database' step.
When I click the Test button to test the db connection,
I get a 404 error that says there is either
"no testing server running on the server machine"
OR
"The testing server specified for this site does not map to the http://127.0.0.1/MyWebApp/_mmServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.php URL. Verify that the URL Prefix maps to the root of the site."
My MAMP window shows:
A green light for Apache Server & the MySQL Server.
Apache Port set to 80 & the MySQL Port to 3306.
Apache Document Root = /Applications/MAMP/htdocs
I should mention that on a previous page, when i received the instruction to put this:
http://localhost/phpMyAdmin
. . . I was not able to get to phpMyAdmin.
I have to put this:
http://localhost:80/MAMP/frame.php?src=%2FphpMyAdmin%2F
to get to that page.
I wonder if that is realted to the problem I am having testing the db connection.
I would appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks!
Robin

Look at the video tutorial in the homepage of this forum. Its very fast but informational. I watched it 7 times over and over until I got it and I was able to install wamp. My only problem is now I have to learn database.
