Good evening

Today my husband has installed the Dreamweaver MX on my computer. It’s an old version, but as I want to build my very first web site it should do the job.

As of now, I have been working on my project with HTML Kit and I am wondering if and how I can use what I now have with Dreamweaver or if I must start all over again.

You can see what I have up till now done here: inmenu.mywebcommunity.org

Thank you

Sure you can. Just define a site in DW which points the folder where all your site files are located. You can find out more about defining sites through DW's help menu.

I've been look for the help menu but I can’t seem to find it. ¿Is it called Help?

Yes, on MX2004 it is called 'Help' and should be on the same line as File, Edit, View etc.

Hi Corrosive

I guess it was time for me to go to bed, I was look for the help file in the forum.
This morning I defined my site my copied my files but I don’t like what I see in “Design view”:
Navigation bar

Footer

When I see it in the browsers: Firefox and Explorer, they look fine.
¿Is this normal?

Thank you

It is fairly normal for Design View to be 'not that great'. It is a guide only and, as you probably already know, different browsers give different views of web pages. I am having trouble seeing what is actually up in the images you posted...eyes weren't what they used to be! Have you got larger versions anywhere??
