And everything is out of place. It looks fine on opera (my main browser). Everything is perfect. But when I look at it in I.E. or Firefox, it's all scattered. Is there a way around this?

welcome to web design.

each browser renders differently, to sort out your problem we will need to see the code / page.

you have a favicon link above the a doctype. this may be one thing it makes the browser miss it add it to the head
second
<body background="Images/Background.jpg" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">
better to add this to your css this is throwing up a warning

in fact these ar the warnings displayed

Result: 0 errors / 48 warnings

OK, guys, I fixed all the problems. But now I have a new problem... a problem I though I resolved before. I put some ap divs (there are only two on this page) and I want them to stay put exactly where I put them. But they don't right now. How do I fix this?

You need to set a positioning context for the Divs, they are staying where you told them to but you positioned them in relation to the HTML or body of the document so every time this moves so do the Divs.

You need to wrap them in a Div and fix this in position using margins for example you could have:

<div id="container">
<div id="menu"></div>
<div id="content"></div>
</div>

then your css:

div# container {
width: xpx;
height: ypx;
position: relative;
}

div# content {
width: xpx;
height: ypx;
position: absolute;
}

div# menu {
width: xpx;
height: ypx;
position: absolute;
}

^ I appreciate your help, but I don't think I need it. I just redid the whole thing using CSS, like a grown person should.

Sorry about that. Check out my upddated site and see if you can find anything wrong with it viewing other browsers. I tested it on Firefox, Opera, and IE. IE doesn't center it, but I'm happy with it regardless.

I won't be using tables anymore, lol.

To Rickey55 et al., I was agonizing over how to get AP divs to stay where I want them when I view my page in IE7. Thanks for the info regarding wrapping them in a container div. Very useful. I'm making slow progress and I appreciate this forum. BarryD
