i have a design which looks as intended in ie7 + and FF but in ie6 its a different story!
i have a main content area floated left and a right nav column floated right.

In ie6 the right floated column sits tight on the left and the main left floated column is sitting below!
i have checked all the margins padding widths etc to make sure nothing is overflowing to break the design everything appears to be okay. im really stuck is there some rule i have to apply to stop this happening?.
cheers
Dan

Not sure if the following is creating the problem but I did spot some issues with your css.

In the body styles you have;
width:100%;
height:1000px;
min-width:900px;
These are not needed here.

In the .container you have two margin declarations;
margin:0 auto;
margin-left:auto;
margin-right:auto;
margin:0 auto; is all you need ) sets the top and bottom and auto sets left and right

Your #content has a set height (is this what you want?)

The rightcnt has a right margin of 140px --- ?

Dig your buttons, you need a 1024 x 768 res to see them.

Make them smaller if I were you.

coloeagle (http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/forum/member.php?u=25985) thanks for pointing out the problems, i have fixed them but left the rtcnt right margin 140px to push that nav column closer to the the main content.Is it okay to do that or should i use a different method?

Ricky55 what does dig my buttons mean and which ones do i need to make smaller? the 3 in a block or the ones across the top. I thought i had tested them in 1024x768 and 1280x800 what happens to them?
cheers for your help guys !

What a stressful day lol
still no fix in ie6 after fixing the css does anyone have any ideas is this a bug?

Been looking over your code. Should have spotted this earlier.

In your #rightcnt you need to specify a width.

Any time you float an element/div you need to specify a width.

Add this and then you may need to do some tweaking.

You may want to change the width setting for your container. This will automatically bring the right div closer and possibly eliminate the horizontal scroll issue.

Another option would be to float both divs left or right (depending on how you want your code order) this will position one right next to the other.
