I am putting a myspace status update object on my page, but the DIV I have it in will not move no matter what I do.

Does anyone know what is going on?

in your css file you have
#mypacestatus {
top: 600px;
left: 10%;
position: relative;
first its a typo error. then yu have altered a absolute div so now the positioning and z index are redundant use margins and width to position your div

I don't follow at all.

I'm fairly new to this, so any greater detail and explanation would be greatly appreciated.

on your page you have your object in a div called
myspacestatus you have defined mypacestatus just a missing s
ths styling above is typical code for DW app div or absolure positioned div. in a relative ositioned div the values i mentioned dont apply. try

#myspacestatus {
width: ???px;//add your own
height: ???px; //add your own
margin-left: 600;
position: relative;

I tried what you suggested with displeasing results. So I tinkered around with it and came up with this:

#myspacestatus {
position: absolute;
}is there anything wrong with this code that I need to know about?
