The last little task required to get my index page finished is to get the little search.gif image to appear underneath the text block. Here's the code.

<td valign="bottom"><input type='text' name='txtSearchString' value='' size="15" />
&nbsp; <br />
<input type="image"'../images/search.gif' name='|Search|' alt='Search' border="0" align="absmiddle" width="67" height="20" /> &nbsp; </td>

I'm sure the image search.gif is alive and well in the images folder but it doesn't appear. Any suggestions?

Also, your name= and alt= need double quotes and in the td tag you need to complete the value="".

I didn't give you enough context to tell you what was going on. Sorry for that. This is part of form routine that takes in put and launches a search on the web site. That's why, as an example, there is nothing in the value statement. The form is empty so the use can enter a search string.

The search routine worked just fine. I was just having a problem displaying the graphic. Here's the code that fixed it.

<td valign="bottom"><input type='text' name='txtSearchString' value='' size="15" />
&nbsp; <br />
<input type=Image src='/shop/images/search.gif' name='|Search|' alt='Search' border=0 align=absmiddle width="67" height="20"> &nbsp; </td>
