Can anyone advise the best layout for modern sites? Tables ,Framesets or layers? I havnt begun to build the site yet, the site needs a title and navigation bar on every page (combined titleNav) , a dynamic/static content area, and possibly a side bar for google ads/own ads.

Use divs, xhtml and an external style sheet.

what does the float style do in css? as i have copied this tutorial but added 1 80px right bar , central 575px main content and 1 80px left bar, floating the left and right bars in corresponding direction as there is no float centre for the main content area. Will this cause problems when content is added??
