Hello,
I started using Dream weaver a couple of days back and am stuck. I basically did the following
1. Created a New HTML page of Layout "2 Column elastic, left sidebar, header and footer" (see attachment)
2. I put in a picture for the header
3. I put in a table (3 rows, 1 column) in the left sidebar (1) and put in some text links in each row
4. What i want to do is, each time i click on one of the text links, the corresponding page should load in the right column(the main column,2). I know how to do this with frames, i just give the frame name for target and it works, but there are no frames on this page.

Thanks in advance.

Hey - you've asked a big question if you don't know about css, because the Dreamweaver layouts are stylesheet based (never use the stock layouts myself because I'm a designer, I design my own). So... instead of frames you see, you use the "save as template" facility within dreamweaver... much better than frames, dispenses with worries about targetting altogether and stays search engine friendly. However, to start and explain about templates here would just get frustrating for both of us... so I suggest some major self-directed study. Or maybe someone could point you to some good online tutorials. I don't know of any so I'll have to bow to others to come up with good stuff...

No frames is a good thing. :-D

Create your template as mentioned above, use this to create each new page, make your links relative to the pages.

Or if you like the frame type set up take a review of this thread. http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29359
