I am finding this too hard, I googled and found some companies that do this sort of thing, has anyone tried them? Is clipping path the same as deepetching. http://www.deepetch.com seems to be one good one, I also saw http://www.rapidclipping.com/Photoshop_clipping/home.htm and http://www.ezyclipping.com. Has anyone had any experience with this sort of thing. My catalog has over 300 images of jewelery and jackets with fur fitted on manequins due in two weeks, all shot on a blue studio background. Do I require alpha channel masking? Can anyone help please?

I'm pretty sure most people here do it themselves..

I've never used an outside company/programme to do this.

If I were you I would approach the company you're doing the site for and say "You have a choice: images with a blue background or you pay to have the images altered" - that's what I would do. I appreciate it's not a solution but it's crazy to struggle to do it, it will just eat up all the time you will need to complete the project!

Alternatively - Look at the channels and see if you can filter the BG out but it's going to be difficult with fur on a blue BG. You can start by selecting the colour and use select > similar and try feathering it out in quick mask mode but doing a whole batch is quite frankly a ball ache.

Good luck !
