so i havn't had this problem before as i've always dealt with more start up domain names, that would appear on the first google search page as they were unique..

this current site ive just pushed live on my freelance side of life hasn't even showed up on the first 30 google pages (even searching locally .au). The problem is that it is a pub website that uses a suburb name.

i have set up google analytics and that is working fine. nearing 100 hits (live about < 2 weeks ago). i have also set up google webmaster and added a sitemap.txt which is also registering as status ok.

now im running out of ideas.
i was extremly good with using key words wherever possible (meta, alt, title, links that are images but i will have text that has css neg text indent) basically massively good xhtml markup.

any ideas from the more exp' ppl in this area.

i havnt really looked into buying ranking yet but that is possible with google i think?

for all those interested the site is http://tinyurl.com/6yrh2m

have a look here for a 'rule of thumb check' dont take it literally but might hep some. also xml site map is better for google.

i would think you have pretty strong competition with its content
Hotel, sydney, bar, pub, korean, korean bbq, BBQ, beer, food, accomodationalso 2 weeks is not a long tome in google time , ive noticed some long delays also lately, but they get there in their own time
