View Full Version : My flash movie doesn't work in DW

I put a Flash movie into dreamweaver, it apears in the preview, but in my server it doesn't apear at all. I don't know whats wrong, i have the SWF file and the AC_RUN file.... its the same path. What could be posible wrong...?

here is the test i made...its suposed to be three colored buttons, but it all apears is the background.

also check out swfobject, just yahoogle it, it's a better way to embed flash

as you can see.... its just the background and the flash movie its gone. I have to add a dos.html, /tres.html or /index.html to change the pages.

Yes swf object is better which is good because Dreamweaver CS4 is now using it, it even includes the express install. All at the click of a button much better solution.

Do i also need Flash CS 4 to create an sfwobject or with just DW CS 4 its ok ?

I'm having the same problem with flash buttons. DW CS3 is wanting to update all of my object tages to 'browser safe scripts', and any new .html files I make DW automatically inserts the flash objects with the new js tags.

My problem is with the <noscript> tag. If I have js enabled in the browser, flash buttons don't display at all, not even an error; but if I disable js, they work.

So, when I manually remove the <noscript> tags, it's opposite: js enabled - works; js disabled - not work.

All of our computers have js enabled, so it would be much easier to omit these noscript tags. (btw, this is a company intranet site)

Can anyone help me with this scenario?

Again use SWF Object, this is what Dreamweaver CS4 is now using anyway.
