View Full Version : Dreamweaver and Wordpress.

Please bear with me as I'm a big fat noob and what I'm trying to do might be a) impossible b) impossible for someone with my level of skill...

A few weeks ago I decided to create my own website. I blog on Weebly and decided to attempt my own layout with Photoshop / Image ready / Dreamweaver.

I've created the static parts of my site including making slices, linking the various slices, mouseover effects etc and I'm very happy with it.

The main reason for creating my site was to have a blog and this is where I'm stuck. After trawling Google I think I've discovered that I can somehow use wordpress for my blog and attach that to Dreamweaver so it's easily updatable.

I don't however have any idea how to do it. Will I be able to keep my own page layout and incorporate a Wordpress blog?

The features I'm after are; tags for each blog, a couple of entries per page and a "previous" / "next" link on each page.

Can this be done? Are there any tutorials on the web or would anyone give me some advice?

Can it be done but only by someone with REAL web design skills? If this is the case, are there any simpler alternatives?

Thanks a lot.

Wordpress was developed for blogs, you design based on a template based system I think but its highly customisable.

Not sure how it works with Dreamweaver though.

Lynda have three courses on it and if its anything like Lynda's other stuff it will be excellent.
