hey,

I have been working on a very basic website for a friend and I am a complete noob to this kind of stuff. It seems when i type in the URL for the site it brings an Index menu of some sort up with all the files listed in order. If anyone has some sort of basic explanation to why this is and how to fix it please feel free to tell me :) .

www.nestorhaverly.com (http://www.nestorhaverly.com)

thanks!

Basically, the server that hosts the information looks in the directory for a specific file if none was provided in the URL. Most server's default is index.html. If you send people to www.nestorhaverly.com there is no file specified, and no index file in the directory, so it displays a file listing.

A) Change Home.html to index.html
B) have your network admin change the server redirect to Home.html

Have a good one!
