View Full Version : Double Space Frustration

Attached is a web page built in DW8 that has an
issue that causes the content to be spread
across a higher range when run than in DW
edit mode. Also the text at bottom is double
spaced and not single spaced as in edit
mode of page. To see...

1. Unzip page EXAMPLE1.ZIP. All graphics
removed for simplicity.
2. Open page in DW and view in design
mode. This is how it should look when
run.
3. Run the page in FireFox or IE and you
will see the spacing problem.

I've got 3 hours in trying to solve this to
no avail. All other projects I've built using
the same page strategy and DW8 work
as expected. I cannot see what is different
about this one.

Thanks,

Dan

This page is really badly designed, you really do need to move away from tables and start using CSS.

Even with tables at least write your styles in a separate style sheet or at the very least in the head of the document, try to avoid inline styles.

The reason for the double space is because of the <p> tag and <br> tags.

For the section at the bottom remove the table and just create an unordered list and use CSS to style.

If you really must continue with the table remove the p and br tags and just use css to style the table. The table cells with create the new lines for you.
