View Full Version : Dreamweaver Templates

I was wondering how many people use templates in Dreamweaver and maybe some of the alternatives such as content management using the Dreamweaver tool box. Are there any major issues do's and don’ts? Do pages made from templates have any negative impact on search engines?

What about spry menus. Can search engines read them?

Thanks Loren

a lot use templates, personally i don't any more I tend to use includes for page sections, just a personal choice.
I do not see it will hinder search engines at all, although i have heard it said minimal code is better , but Im not convinced this is significant even if true.
CMS has its place but i don't see it as a replacement for templates as such.
Yes I believe spry menus read as the content is in html not within a javascript

I use templates all the time. Never had any problems with them. A long as you are careful and read the manual to understand what it is they do then go for it. :)
