you are using tables which probably causes the delay not many use them now. I will see what i can suggest

I have just put the images into absolute divs to give you an idea and look to css design maybe :)

Yes absolutely, in addition to talk about DW and related stuff. It would just probably been better if you had just posted a link to the page, or pasted the code. In these spam/hack/crack/malware times everyone is just a little hesitant to download unknown files to their computer :)

yes i did the divs quickly using dw, making absolues(apdivs) then changing the attributes to suit . although i did them in code it can be done by using the design/ css in the side bar. go on give it a try :)
as for imags you can use them as often as you want

thanx edbr managed to suss it out

if starting a new page in blank - what status - commands do you give in design to be able to move objects around and what type of background frame is it you have created if not a table?

big thanx

decide how you want your page to look think in sections.
typically a banner, a menu, your content, a footer perhaps
make a wrapper for all these then start positioning ans sizig each section where you want them.
go to here
http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28749
copy and paste one of the pages then you can alter the styles (in the head) to make a page look how you want

hi

thanks again i am working in design mode and need to allign buttons
and content below for a standard layout

the postioning i have in dw is not what i get on viewing in ie and then again dfferent in firefox

i presume it is a code issue - would be good to know as i need this as a standard setting on relating pages
