If you look at my signiture (my site is being re-done TOTALLY).
When you click the link it says;

Not Found
The requested URL /views.php was not found on this server.

What can I do to be nice and send them to a page that says

Busy re-doing site
The requested URL is under maintenance or something...

Cheers

just set a flag in php with a little redirect to a maint page

you could add it in an include and comment out the include when not needed

$closed_for_maint = "closed"; //<< change to 'open'

if($closed_for_maint == "closed"){

header("location:maint.php");

}

Create a custom 404 page.

The not found message you see is the servers standard 404 Not found message.

That sounds like a good idea.

Thanks.

There aren't any pages anymore.
Domedia's idea seems logical for now.

Thanks.
