View Full Version : flash not sizing properly

I've added a little flash slideshow thing into the index page of a site I'm building. The slides are 250px high but when it is lined up next to gif that is also 250px high the slides actually appear to be about 5px shorter even though it was built at and the html is set for it to be 250.

It looks right in IE but not in FF, anyone have any ideas?

just add that in flash with your side show rather than as a separate image, flash compresses images really well you wouldn't even notice an increase in file size.

Ha ha. You are a cheater.

Actually, that's a good idea! I'll try it out and see how it works. Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I know its not an answer to the original problem but there's no harm in making life easier for yourself. To be honest I think it's better done like that anyway.

If your text block was text and not an image I wouldn't have recommended this but with it being an image it makes sense.

I would also have told you to use text rather than an image but thats not a standard font so you'll need an image.

I rebuilt the slides using your suggestion and it did the trick. It was just for this page, which will be index.html when the site goes live, that i needed to have the slides on so the problem is now solved.

Thanks for the help, it was just right.
