i am using 1&1

seem OK although i had to configure a .htaccess file in order to switch from php 4 to 5 (4 provided by default) but had to wait 8 hours for the solution. Service Level on that was poor so hopefully that is not a bench mark

you get a full to bursting package with tools and toys galore and on a 2 year deal on the pro package the first year is free

1and1 hosting is notoriously bad. 8 hours is actually good. I've been waiting for days when I had a package with them.
I'd stay far away.

Done a bit of research and EUKHost.com keeps on being recommended. Had a look at them and they answered my questions within minutes. They do a good range of packages and are very reasonable on price.

I am going to refer to this post --> http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28829&page=2

on the grounds that I am to lazy to rewrite it, but Acenet Hosting like I said has been awsome.

First of all, I get no referal or affiliate for this.

I have been using websitesource for four years and have never had a problem. I only recently began learning php and when I went to set up my databases it was terribly slow. I contacted them and they moved me to a faster server three days later (I didn't request any importance level). I know that there are numerous freeserver out there however have discovered (the hard way_ that you get what you pay for.

Could someone direct me to a post that shows exactly how to set up the MySQL connection. I have tried pretty much every configuation I can think of and have been unsucessful.
