View Full Version : Disjointed Rollover - Bad Image Quality

When making a disjointed rollover from a thumbnail, the large image is very bad quality. It either stretches and blurs a small image or makes a larger image very grainy. Does anyone know how to make the new image render correctly? I'll be using many images, mostly of 480px wide but all of different heights.

Thanks in advance.

Any image resized in a browser will look bad, so make sure none of your images need to stretched or squished.

Thanks Cary! That was my guess. There are a lot of ads on eBay Motors though that show very clean images from the thumbs and I'm wondering how they're generated. Although these may already be sized to fit, I'm wondering if there's a way to have the code at least correct the height if the width is already good. I can batch process the pics to a fixed width but the heights are all over the place.

some sites use 'imagemagic' (not sure of spelling)
