Dear all,

New to this forum and relatively new to Dreamweaver I have a small question.
I have a new 'model' for my homepage including two SSI's.

I would like to test them locally so I installed IIS7 on my PC (Vista 64 SP1) with all options 'on'.

Now I want to test my SSI's and installed the local server on my dreamweaver Site (tick the 'local' test server). But... I do not see anything happening when trying to preview in Firefox and/or IE7 (error 404 on http://localhost/model.html)

What's up?

Is there some tutorial out there I could take a look at?

Thanks,

Eddy

IIS is a piece of crap. Use apache. Here's a video tutorial link

Hi Neon,

Thx for the video... however, I do not want to use PHP/MySql but just HTML pages with SSI included (so file based). I'm not familiar (yet) to PHP so I'd like to stick to the old game. Could you give some clues how to go ahead then?

Eddy

Take a look at this page:

Setting up an ASP development environment for Dreamweaver (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/setting_up_asp.html)

Perhaps it will show where you might have gone wrong in setting up the server.
