You need to create your background in image editing software (photoshop, illustrator etc.) You can also download these from loads of places and then apply it to the background of you page in 'page properties'. :)

Hey Corrosive.... just curious, is there a way to change a picture from Color to Black & White in Flash CS3 ? I want to create a transition from Color to Black & White and viseversa... like http://www.beyonceonline.com/. I know how to do in Photoshop and tried to make a movie clip but the transition didn't work.

No problem Chapo. Make sure you get a nice tile background so that it repeats and doesn't take too long to download.

Have a look at this thread

DavidJ found a good source of repeating backgrounds and posted it there. :)

Sorry Chapo, I don't use flash and the site you have just sent me to (thanks for that by the way :wink: ) is a good example of why it is usually annoying and unnecessary. It can be effective in very small doses but people just go mad and over use it. This is only my opinion btw and I'm sure I'll get shot down in flames for it.

There are some flash gurus on this site and a whole forum board dedicated to it so post your question in there and you may get some help.

Hey Corrosive..... about the Background.... what i meant by Custom Background was this: http://www.graphicxtras.com/.

You can see that the background adjusts to fit the monitor, if i add a image that big in DW it will have scrollbars.

You have two ways:

1. Use CSS and the body tag.
}
body {
background-image: url(../images/background.png);

}

2. go to "Modify" on the toolbar and the "Page Properties" you will see background image in the middle of the page. Browse to the image and your done
