I want to print one of my designs from Photoshop CS3....Ive borrowed my parents printer (forgot the installation cd so had to download the drivers). Now Ive got my index design open in Photoshop, its 900 * 900 Pixels.

What are the best settings for printing to paper? Ive printed with the default settings and there are big areas of white at the top and at the bottom. Is there anyways of having a border around what would be the page?

What settings should I have to see what it really would look like?

Hope Im making some....sense??

Thanks

900 x 900 pixels is very small for a printed image.
Can I assume that the whole image is on the page but it is small ?
Could really know why you are printing it? To show a proof ?

Printed images/type are usually set to 300dpi (dots per inch) so a document at A4 would have say 3500 pixels across where as you only have 900.

You can enlarge the image to fit the page (image >> image size) but it will reduce the quality.

800 x 800 is square. a piece of standard paper is rectangular.

as far as the border goes... if i'm understanding you correctly - just enlarge the canvas by .3.
