View Full Version : Need to split this element into 2?

Ok - im new to all this so apologies if this is a somewhat basic task.

See the highlighted blue area?
I want to put some text on the left side of that box - just a few words with a link to a file.

At present the box is aligned to the right, so the other text/buttons are rightfully on that side.

What is the best course to achieve what Im after?

Please speak to me like an idiot...

Thought I had it sussed then.
I went to Table--> split cell, and tried to add a column but was presented with the "locked by a template/translator" error.

How to fixxxxx.....?

1. Add another element in front of the one you highlighted.
2. Float this element to the left

Forget about tables. you already have a web standards page.. why ruin it?

Those 2 steps sound so easy that I ask forgiveness now for asking my next Q.

How do I do that?

(Im new to web design and still at chapter 1 with my dreamweaver book.

Then please read more chapters. :) you cannot expect to do page changes with zero knowledge about how the application works :)

Sorry, but this is the very basic, and I don't want to sound like a pr**k.. but if you don't know how to add something to a page, you need to read further than chapter 1 :-(
