Hi and thanks for the help.

I am building my first website with dreamweaver using the design menu, i dont know code at all.

I am really a newb, so please be patient.

i am tring to position an div inside a table window.
When i make an ap div it is completly independent and i dont know how to lock him to a section inside the table.
when i use the "insert a div tag" i get a div inside the table about the way i want but i cant seem to put an ap div inside the div tag. again its completly independent.
so shortly.
is it possible to put an ap div inside a div tag which is inside a table window?
or if u know how can i put an ap div directly inside a table window...
i hope i was clear.

thanks again

Hi Covono

Not all that clear I'm afraid. can you confirm that you are trying to insert a div tag or ap layer inside a table?

Ok. There are two ways to build a website. Using tables or using CSS and div tags/layers. Tables are not that great for designing websites as they are meant for tabular data (think, numbers in a spreadsheet). CSS and div tags/layers is the way the pros do it. You certainly shouldn't mix the two. Don't put divs or layers inside tables. Instead of the table, create a bigger div and put the other elements of your site in that.
