I was wondering a few things about this website : http://www.audrey-kawasaki.com/index.php Firstly how does she get the home picture to change everytime I refresh the homepage. Secondly, she has an index of images that dont actually have a link to get to, i just looked for the source of the background and stumbled upon,. why does she use an index of images instead of placing them right on the page. Lastly, how can i get a background image to take up the whole background? as of now my background always have a solid color border around it. thanks

The server generates a different image path in HTML every time you go to the site. My guess it's done with PHP since she's using a PHP extension.

Looked at the source and found nothing that looked like what you're describing :) What is an 'index of images'?

body {margin: 0; padding: 0;}

Index of images

that is the contents of a directory you are looking at not a web page

its where the images live

she should have either blocked access or added a balnk html page to stop snooping

That is a directory of images, we all use similar ways of organizing our files :)
Some use separate directories for all different file types, css, js etc.

Hi
Firstly the way you can change the front page with a different image each time is by using php and having a folder of images. There is a script on the front page to randomly change the images on page refresh. The background is always the same but you can change it by using a different css file and having a php script randomly changing that as well.

For the other question do you have a link to your site to show us what you mean about having the background image - only having a black border. This can be done many ways with css and maybe transparency - depends on what you are after.
