View Full Version : Photo Gallery

I am still constructing a photography site for myself, I refuse to pay $70 for a generic one that some friends have.

Anyway, I am using simpleviewer for my galleries and even though I can integrate the photoshop simple viewer script output into my pages, they don't display the background colour I want for the flash object.

So my question...

Is there anything more simple than simple viewer for a simple minded person (when it comes to website building and coding)??

Hi Chris, you're leaving alot out. Are you wanting a free flash photo gallery?

Any gallery is good as long as it is easy to maintain.

What info do you need?

I am going to try get one page of my site up with a gallery now so you can see the grey background that is bugging me.

My URL is http://www.cjs-photography.co.uk/GalleriesFL/Buildings%20Gallery/buildings.html

To add to this,

On the gallery pages, buildings for now, the gallery menu does not display correctly in IE7 and in Firefox it displays behind the flash object. Any advice?

Look great for me, in all browsers. The dropdown menu will appear above the flash if you set a parameter for the flash movie wmode="transparent"

Thanks, but how do I get the background of the flash object from grey to black?

Where in the html do I paste that wmode="transparent"?

I am sorry, I am not good at html yet, I am still learning.

Ok I have this code of the index page that the simpleviewer script creates. On this index page the gallery works fine. So I need to paste the correct code from this page into my buildings.html page. I have tried to do this but it comes out wrong every time.

Is it possible I paste the code in here and get some help with integrating it into my buildings.html?

This one is the index page that the script outputs, it is useless to me

This one is the buildings.html that I want to put the code from the above url into..

Hi, was just looking at your photo gallery on your website and it looks great. Im not good with dreamweaver, am only learning! Could you send me the code for doing that gallery? If you could give me basic steps on what to do, that would be such a help
