You don't need a powerful computer to run Dreamweaver, its one of least power hungry apps out there.

Alright after a few mins of messing around it does seem like it is trying to be more CSS friendly (I don't like it). You can select a portion of text for example, and it will select that CSS id/class for you and whatever you do to it, it will effect the rest of the text that uses that same id/class, which is nice, but if your using the GUI interface on the left side to do that you can't undo .. That really needs to be added.

Also, if you open up, say index.html, it will automatically open up a sub-tab of your CSS file which will update with your CSS file if you have it open as a main tab.

So far that is what I have come across.

:-D compared to what? Notepad, Calculator, WordPad? Of the 50 or so pieces of software that is installed on my PC, DW is among the top 10 memory users.

obviously not compared to notepad! I regard these types of software as windows utilities not really a 3rd party apps.

I mean in caparison to many other types of applications, such as Photoshop, Flash, 3D Programs, CAD Software, After Effects etc. In fact DW is probably the least demanding application I have on my Mac not including little utilities obviously.

What I was trying to say anyway is that if your PC or Mac is struggling to run DW you need a new one.

One new really useful feature is Live View, sounds really handy. DW is now supposed to render code just like a standards compliant browser.

I'll be getting a new computer soon, but what I've been working with till now is a 533MHz AMD with Win 2000 Pro.

DW8 runs quite nicely.

I would have thought it would, like I say its not that demanding especially on the CPU. For a PC to struggle with DW it would have to be very out of date.
