View Full Version : Keeping the layer showing to choose buttons

Hi. Basically the title says it all. The "Biographies" button (finally) has a drop down that has 3 options as links. But when the user goes to choose one of those options, the layer disappears. I've tried nesting these buttons into another layer, but that just explodes. Help, please. I'm almost at my last straw. Here's the page: http://www.felicite.ca/workingRollover.htm

Thanks!

I'm gonna take a guess here without looking at the code...

Are you using the 'show layer' behaviour ?
If so, you need to apply the behaviour to the drop down tabs too... If you don't and only apply the behaviour to the title, as soon as you 'mouseout' the layer will disappear...

Thank you! Yes, Rob... just when I thought I was done for I got your post! Thank you. You nailed it right on the head. Woo-hoo!!!!

Maybe I should be working with Spry now, but with DW MX (2002) I thought I ought to do this the "old fashioned" way. Thanks again!

I'm off to put this on my official pages now... bye for now & (you know... thanks.)

Great news... It's rare that I get to help but I've had this (frustrating) problem myself before...

And definitely get onto your Spry & CSS menus...

Cheers
