i'm just wondering what you pro's do when it comes to your external CSS?
meaning, do u have ALL your styles in one 'main.css' doc or do you split it up and have 'main.css' - 'navbar.css' - 'pictures.css' and so on??

just curious...

for me i split them ,didnt used to but now i find it easier to seperate them.Typically i use layout, classs, text, and menu and gallery if needed.
also has advantage if you want to use different parts on different pages

There is such a thing as too many CSS files. Normally a browser will only allow so many files to be downloaded at the time.
The approach DJ describes in his post above is not uncommon. I sometimes make a separate CSS file for specific application in a site, like photo-gallery.css
