hey...

I've seen a few sites with Flickr feeds... some with decent gallery styles some with just image links to the Flickr gallery.

I'm looking to insert a styled Flickr gallery - any idea how it's done?
I've done some googling and FlickrBadge crops up but I can't find how it's done on Flickr...

I'm thinking it would be an ideal way for a customer to update their own gallery...

Cheers
Rob

Yahoo are very developer friendly, the Flickr API is here http://www.flickr.com/services/api/

If you have ever used the Yahoo JS libs I am sure it will be familiar to you.

Sorry to ask such a lame broad question but look HERE (http://www.flickr.com/services/feeds/docs/photos_faves/) - This appears to be a feed.

What's a GNE file ? & How can I use this to embed this stream?

Am I way off here ?

If it is a feed then load it with:

http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.simplexml-load-file.php

and read

http://us2.php.net/simplexml

The .gne file appears to be a feed file, I haven't worked with Flickr before but I am aware of it and the API. Ideally you will know or have experience with using feeds and importing them.

I know you need to get a key first, so join Flickr, upload some pics get your key and then play around with a feed. Look on google someone should have a basic class available which you can work from.

Thanks again Pete... I'll try and set it up.
I'll post back when (if!) I have any success... ;)
