All i want to do is import it into dreamweaver center the file at the top of the screen and let my flash site sit over a grey background. I just dont know which flash file to import, the html, the swf or the flash doc itself. I dont know how to center it and I dont know how to change the background colour. could anyone help me please.

The html is all you can bring into DW and edit.

start a new html doc in dreamweaver and then use the insert flash button to insert your flash .swf file.

you could use this code to centre in flash swf, copy this code into code view and then go back into design view, place your cursor inside the div and insert your swf into this.

<style type="text/css">

#content {
width: 800px;
margin: 50px auto 0 auto;
}

</style>
</head>

<body>
<div id="content">Your Flash SWF Delete this text</div>
</body>
</html>

to change your background colour add this additional line above the #content

body {
background: #666;
}
