View Full Version : FireFox not managing table w/links correctly

I have a sitemap on a page (HTML) that uses a table
to display links to the respective pages. The problem
is obvious in the graphic attached, that some rows
have greater spacing than others with no apparent
difference between the two. The table looks perfect
in design mode and in preview mode and on the net
live using IE7. FireFox (which I use), seems to be the
culprit not displaying the table correctly. All other tables
seem to behave fine in FireFox (latest version). The only
difference in this one is that each row is a link and
not a line of text only. Has anyone encountered this
before and solved it?

Thanks,

Dan

'Enter' will double space lines.
'Shift' + 'Enter' will single space.

Is that it ?

Try in FireFox and symptom is obvious...
Try in IE and it works as it's supposed to

There are some inconsistencies in how this is coded. Some of the cells have two links with one link being empty which may or may not be in font tags. Some links are just in font tags. Some are in p or div tags as well.

For example:

<td colspan="2">
<font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2"><a href="seneca.htm"></a></font>
<p>
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2"><a href="index.html"><b>Home Page</b></a></font>
</p>
</td>

<td colspan="2">
<div align="left">
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2"><a href="maps.htm"><b>Maps to Airports</b></a></font>
</div>
</td>

<td>
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2"><a href="seneca.htm"><b>Photos of Piper Seneca </b></a></font>
</td>

<td colspan="2">
<a href="citation.htm"></a>
<p>
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2"><a href="hotels.htm"><b>List of Major Hotel Chains</b></a></font>
</p>
</td>
