Hi,

I'm not sure if this is an HTML/CSS issue or a Dreamweaver issue.

What I have is a wrapper with these attributes
#wrapper {
width: 800px;
margin-right: auto;
margin-left: auto;
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 12px;
background-color: #F8F8F8;

Now on my pages, what I have is a table. In each row I have the file name of the document, a thumbnail pic and a description. I like using a table for this because I can easily add/remove rows where needed.

I have the file name on top, then the thumbnail under it, and the description to the right of the image.

So looks something like this

File Name
thumbnail.....Description

I apply a style to the image, to bump the description about 5px away from the image. Here is the style

.thumbnailspacer {
float: left;
padding-top: 2px;
padding-right: 2px;
padding-bottom: 2px;
padding-left: 2px;
margin-left: 5px;
background-color: #C5DFFC;

}

Here is what is happeing within Dreamweaver only.

When I apply the style to the image, add my description everything looks fine. Then I add a new row, and the table shoots out past the wrapper, not just a little, but like

It's only doing this within Dreamweaver, it views fine in IE 6 and 7 (not sure about other browsers since we dont' use them here)

The method I'm using has worked fine in Dreamweaver MX, MX2004, and 8. We just upgraded to CS3, and that's when this started happening.

Here is how one of my table rows look

<tr>
<td ><a href="#">File Name<img src="path to image" width="82" height="58" class="thumbnailspacer" /></a><br />
<br />
File Description Goes Here.</td>
</tr>

Is this a CSS/HTML issue, or just a bug with the new version with Dreamweaver?

What's odd, I found if I just click on the border of the table. It pops back into the wrapper. It doesn't change anything in the code, it just fixes it. But if I close and reopen, it's pushed back out.

It's annoying if it's a bug.
Hope someone has the answer.

Thanks in Advance!

Dreamweaver issue. But since noone is going to browse it with DW, it's not such a large problem?

That's good to know it's just a DW issue, I just like to make sure it's not something I'm doing wrong. Since we don't have any other types of browsers here, I couldnt' test it, to make sure it views OK in them.

Even tho we don't have them, I like to try and keep designs that look right in both. Never know, they could say tomorrow we are switching to firefox.

I hope DW fixes this glitch with a patch or something. It's just annoying how it does that.

It still could be things breaking in other browsers that you cannot see in DW. How can you development not knowing how it looks in other browsers?

It's for an internal only site, so it's pretty controlled when it comes to browsers.

Ya, if this was external I would be in a lot of trouble.
