View Full Version : Css in Source or Remote ?

Hey there...

I was always taught (briefly & badly) that a css file should be in a seperate folder and be linked ie;
<link href="/css/minolta-mania.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

But all the examples I see have the css listed in the head. Why ?

Does it make any difference?

(I will soon be showing you my first attempts at css layout - gulp!)

CSS in a separate folder FTW!

I find it easier to have them in a separate folder if you use multiple pages with the same layout. Your not having to copy and paste all the CSS into each page.

Also cuts back on code.

There's no right or wrong.

I just wondered why I was doing it differently to some I'd seen - I have been looking at a lot of tutorials tho so I guess they'd keep it all together - d'oh!

I'm glad - I hate having to scroll to get to the html...

Cheers M1a,...3x9... whatever :)

For examples and tutorials it's often easy to keep all the code in the same page. It's good practice to keep your CSS in a separate CSS file though.
