Ok - a little vague title but what I'm after is help on inspiration...

I have always designed sites in tables. (I have received my obligatory wedgie)

My query is.... All the CSS sites I see (that boast to be css) are very simple and corporate in their design (it's design I'm looking at here, not coding, not SEO, not dynamics)...
The sites that I create are very graphic heavy (customer request) and I see very little css designs (as far as I am aware) with heavy graphics - is there a reason for this? or is this just the simplistic layout that is 'in vogue' at the moment - Wordpress being an influence for example.

A lot of modern CSS sites also place a big enfacis on accessibility so that clean layout is often used and suits CSS well

Its definitley the future so its good to learn I know what you mean though I did all my designs in tables and it does require a different approach

...big emphasis on accessibility so that clean layout is often used and suits CSS well

Hey Ricky - Yeah I'm finding that. I've seen a few (bookmarked over 100!) sites that I love... Maybe I'll start a thread about design and layout...

Cheers Ricky55 - Looking through them there's sme pretty naive stuff there.
I've never even looked at the code for some of those sites - haha !

DJ - The thread I was considering was more about asking what people feel to be right and wrong (acceptable vs unacceptable) rather than answering any questions... I'll start it in a bit and see where we end up.
