I have a web page that has been up and running for sometime, recently the friend who asked me for help on this wanted to put an album on this website. I used JAlbum for a quick and dirty solution. After Jalbum created the album I can click on the index.html page of the album and everything works fine. I then incorporated it into my web page and used an existing photo as a link, I mapped the hotspot area then used the 'drag to identify' link tool. Saved the whole conglomeration and then viewed in FFox works like a charm, next I tried it in my IE7 and the other IE based browsers on my system and the cursor recognizes the hotspot/link by turning into the pointing finger but the left click initiates no action of any type. However in Maxthon and IE7, down on my status bar(directly above the system taskbar it shows the link that I have defined in dreamweaver. ie. file:///C:/... etc. both FFox and IE7 show the same file directory path.

Here is a snippet of the HTML that was created:

<div id="image1">
<div align="center"><a href="GA_Red_Hat/album/index.html"><img src="images/GArhg1.gif" alt="GA Red Hat Girls December 2007" border="0" usemap="#Map" />
<map name="Map" id="Map"><area shape="rect" coords="0,3,346,261" href="GA_Red_Hat/album/index.html" alt="Click on image to view Photo Gallery" /></map></a></div>
</div>
<div id="image1title"><a href="GA_Red_Hat/album/index.html">Click on this picture to see all of the GA Red Hat Girls! </a><br />
</div>

The current website is at:http://www.garedhatgirls.110mb.com/
this website doesn't have the changes made to it yet but you can get an idea of what I am trying to accomplish. The image is the one of the 7 ladies first one down on the right hand side.
Thank you for any suggestions you may have, I appreciate any help that I can get.

Change your paths to be: http://www.garedhatgirls.110mb.com/yourimage.jpg instead of
file:///C:/...

or just: yourimage.jpg and delete the "file:///C:/..."

Also, when you define your site you can assign a default forlder for the images.

I do have an images folder and the images do reside there. I am trying to use one of those images on the web page as a link(using DW CS3) and when I preview the web page(I have not uploaded the new page yet) in FFox the link will work correctly; however when i try to preview in IE7, Avant etc, the link will not work. The only point I was trying to make(with the file:///C:/ statement) is that all of the browsers show that the image is a link and that file path is pointing correctly. However, in FFox the link will take me to the 'JAlbum' index.html page, but in IE7 and the other ie based browsers it will not. Sorry for not explaining myself more clearly. The HTML code in the page is using the correct file path: GA_Red_Hat/album/index.html

If you can upload the page to a temporary place on the web, it would help greatly, trust me :)

I went to upload the website so everyone could get a gander at it, and once it was up there it worked like a charm, just like it supposed to. I don't understand why it doesn't work in preview mode though. At any rate I would welcome any suggestions on that -- but my original problem has been taken care of. Thank you.
