Hi All -- I have been using Dreamweaver for years, love it. I'm currently using Mx and I'm having a weird little quirk, my insert table function just stops working, almost like it is turned off... I can insert a table into the html, but that's not the point. I know there's a quick fix, but I can't remember what it is... anyone? Thanks!

i dont think this is an option

you cant turn it off

if the icon is there and you press it you should see a dialogue. If nothing happens then i think your DW could be goosed and may require a reinstall

That was going to be my next step... I have been dealing with the memory hog known as Vista, which has casused a few shutdowns...may have messed it up that way.... ?

Thanks for the thought.

try a repair first before uninstalling

Reinstall didn't solve the issue... it's really odd. Can't insert tables in new or existing pages... I must be doing something wrong.

MMmm

try uninstalling

then navigate to the program dir and delete the dreamweaver dir

remove all reference to it and then try a reinstall

Uninstalled -- scoured program dir, found no evidnce left... reinstalled... still unable to insert tables. Thought I would download the trial of the new version, but Adobe server is down. Certainly at a loss.

dreamweaver is in the adobe dir

it could be a dodgy disk with the corruption on the table creation script

You were right... went deep in the application files on a search and destroy mission, then edited the reg, killed the extension manager, reinstalled and problem solved.

Thanks for your suggestions and support.
